BC136 Love Bot Birthday

Hooray it's Friday! - I've come to appreciate Friday's now that I have my weekends FREE from watching Coleen. Don't get me wrong as I adore my Granddaughter but it's nice just to have some kick back "me" time over the weekend. Since I haven't posted personal pictures on this blog in awhile I'm sharing 2 pictures today from Coleen's first "kids" party which we held for her last Saturday. The first one is her showing off a new dress that great-grandma (Granny) gave her. The other is her whacking her Dora the Explorer Pinata. She'd been telling us that she wanted a Pinata for her birthday since Halloween of last year!

Now back to stamping...For the BC Challenge this week the theme was (Birthdays) and since I wanted to do another card for the CIC Challenge using a Robot Image I decided to combine the two challenges.  I found this fun (Digi) Robot image from JD Digi Designs.com and just couldn't resist purchasing it.

The colors and papers are exactly the same as this card: since I am trying to use up my designer paper in a more efficient manner this year.   I did add Red Glitter (Art Institute) and some punched Yellow stars and Orange Brads to this card.  The sentiment is from SU.

What was really cute is that once Coleen saw this card she wanted to make one just like it for her little friend, Carter (He goes to the same Pre-school she does) so below is her version of this card.  She made it all herself.

I hope you've enjoyed this post and don't forget to check out the other DT members by clicking on the Blogger Icon on my sidebar.

absc12 - Just Because

Welcome to the newest Annabelle Sketch Challenge.  Isn't this a "fun" sketch.  I wasn't able to participate in last weeks sketch challenge so I'm happy that I was able to get a card ready for this week.  For my card I used 3 of the newest Annabelle Stamp Sets.  The flowers are from:  Floral Stems (ABS014), The sentiment is from: Flowers With Love (ABS016) and the border/bling is from: Build-a-Bling (ABS012).

What's great about the Build-a-Bling stamp set is that you can use them as a "guide" for adding your bling but you can also use them for creating unique borders or mix and match them with the bling like I've done here on this card.

In keeping with one of my goals this year to use up my patterned paper I'm once again using the patterns seen in this post:

I love how bright and cheery the colors look and the sparkle on the DCWV paper is just wonderful.

Don't forget to stop by the other DT members blogs and the Annabelle Blog and leave everyone some comment "lovin" because it's always nice to hear that you like what you are seeing.

Card Details: Card Stock: Basic Black, Dusty Durango (which was incorrectly called Melon Mambo in the post I just mentioned.), Crushed Curry, Watercolor Paper and DP from DCWV and BoBunny.
Ink: Tuxedo Memento Black, Ink Pads and Aqua Painter from SU
Other: Oval Punches (Marvy), Black Currant Sprinkles 4mm from Annabelle Stamps,
Swiss Dot Embossing Folder, Embroidery Floss, Paper Piercing Tool, Faom mounting tape.

3CT48 - Luv Bug

Welcome to 3CT Challenge. Grab a cup of your favorite beverage, kick back and enjoy the view.  For this week's challenge Kerry asked the DT to create a card using 2 different images (words don't count).  I wanted to use one of my new $1 stamps from Inkadinkado that I picked up at JoAnn's.  They are all so adorable and just perfect for Valentine's Day.  With that in mind I decided to combine this challenge with the current CIC43 over on Hope's Blog brought to you this week from Bake Inc.  That little Robot is just so cute and adorable.  Wouldn't you know it I don't own a single Robot related stamp (shocking huh?) What's a girl to do...go with that bright cheery color scheme instead.

My papers are from BoBunny and Imaginisce (Green Polka Dots)  The image was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Prismacolor pencils.  I also used my new SU Scallop Trim punch and some jewels from Zva Creative found here:

My card is a bit off the norm for me and I'm not entirely sure I like it but as they say, "It is what it is." so that's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Be sure to check out Kerry's Blog and see what the other DT members created this week.  Also stop by Hope's blog and see who was chosed for the new Sweetie's DT.

BC135 Oh Lolli Pop!

Hello & Happy Friday.  I wasn't sure about being able to participate in today's Blogger Challenge but here I am.  This card is also for the Hope Stamps Eternal Cupcake Inspiration Challenge (CIC42)

Don't you just love how bright, cheery and fun those yummy cupcakes look.  I drew inspiration from the colors.  - For the Blogger Challenge we were to use Punches, Diecuts.  I've used Nestabilitie Dies, Flower Punch and Moroccan Lace Punches on this card.

I finally had a chance to ink up my Lolli Anya (The Greeting Farm) stamp that I purchased some time back.  I think she is so "sweet" and cute.
The sentiment is from SU.

Designer Paper, Die Cuts With A View.
Card Stock: Melon Mambo, Summer Sun, Paper Trey Select and Brushed Gold (SU)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Prisma Color Pencils
Other: Flower with button (Sassafras) Brads from Pink Hedgehog Crafts, Glitter from Art Institute, Spica Glitter Pens.

BE SURE TO STOP BY THE OTHER BC MEMBERS BLOGS (Click on the Icon on my sidebar) and see their fabulous punched creations.

BC134 along with some MojoMonday

Wow another week over!  I've been slowly but surely recovering from a horrible case of Bronchitis this week and while I'm still not 100% I'm feeling much better then last week.                     For today's Blogger Challenge Lise picked a color theme: (Pink/Brown/White) - Pretty easy right? Well let's just say I had ZERO pink & brown patterned paper and had to go in search of some for the challenge.  The LSS had none (image that) so I ended up trying JoAnn's and found a pattern that I thought would work.  It's one by Colorbok.  I chose to use this weeks Mojo Monday sketch as my starting point.

Once again I've used another $1 stamp from Inkadinkado that I bought at JoAnn's.  I hope you aren't tired of them yet as I still have several more that I plan to use.

I colored the Beaver with Prisma Color Pencils and added some subtle sparkle to the heart with my new Blossom Pink Spica Glitter Pen.

Other Details:
Card Stock: Chocolate Chip, Close To Cocoa, Pretty in Pink, Pink Pirouette and Whisper White.
Ribbon: Flirty Desinger Series (SU retired)
Heart Punch, Circle Nestabilitie Dies, Pink Heart Sprinkle (Annabelle Stamps).

Be sure to click on the Blogger Challenge Icon on my sidebar and check out what the other members created with this color combo.  Hope you have a wonderful weekend.

absc10 - "Bling it on!"

If you are here for the 3CT Challenge click HERE

Wow it's RELEASE DAY over at Annabelle Stamps
and you are in for a real treat.  There are 5 new stamp sets and lots of great (Bling) with new Sprinkles, Pearls & even Twinkling H2O's so be sure to check it all out.

Also don't forget to go to the Annabelle Blog to see the new sketch challenge and what the DT did with the sketch.  You won't be disappointed.

For my card I chose 2 of the new stamp sets.  The first set is Flowers With Love - It's a beauty with several whimsical style flowers and some great sentiments as well.

Since my mom's birthday is this coming Monday I decided to use this as her birthday card so this week she doesn't get to see the Annabelle Sketch Challenge since I want her card to be a surprise.

Now take a peek at the lower left corner of this card.  Do you see all that gorgeous BLING!  Well there are two new sets designed specifically for using bling (in this case some lovely Blossom Sprinkles).  When you use these stamps they give you the perfect placement for whatever type of bling you might want to use.  I know one of the DT members mentioned using them as a guide for using Perfect Pearls (that sounds neat).  You could also use them for creating unique backgrounds as well.  The set I used is called, Flourishes.  I chose to only add my bling at every other dot so you can see the dots in the Kiwi ink showing along with the pretty blossom sprinkles.
My image was watercolored and I raised up one of the flowers using dimensional tape.  I also added a sprinkle and some glitter to the center of the flower.
My designer paper is from the Mimosa Line by S.E.I.  - I just love the colors.  You can see another card I made with this same paper HERE

Now it's your turn to try this great sketch out.  Be sure to leave a link on the Annabelle Blog so we can see your creations.  Hope you've enjoyed your visit and don't forget to head over to see all the new stuff at Annabelle Stamps.  Have a great day!

3CT47 - Baby It's Cold Outside and TESC97

Hello!  Well it's time once again for the 3CT Challenge.   This week Kerry chose the theme: "Baby it's COLD outside" or Winter themed cards.  Many of you have been experiencing severe snow storms, ice storms, and extremely cold weather and while we long for Spring let's just enjoy the season for what it is.  Me I'm not so much a fan of winter but luckily for us we've had very little snow this winter.  It's been cold though so I'm more then ready for some warmer temperatures.  In the mean time for my card this week I chose this sweet little cat image from Whipper Snapper Designs (Cozy Critters) designed by the fabulous Anna Wight.  I found some paper that I fell in love with today and based my color scheme around it.  The paper is called Alpine Fashion and is made by KI Memories.    I also chose to use this weeks sketch from Taylored Expressions (TESC97) but flipped the sketch to fit my design.

Don't forget to stop by Three Clover Designs and check out the other DT members cards.  Why not drop by their blog too and leave some comment lovin!

Other Details:  Card Stock: Chocolate Chip, Close To Cocoa, Baja Breeze, Shimmery White.  Stamps by Whipper Snapper, Designer Paper KI Memories.
Snowflake Punch by Martha Stewart, Chocolate Brad from Pink Hedgehog Paper Crafts, Swiss Dot Embossing Folder, Circle Nestabilitie Dies, Blossom Pink Glitter Pen (Spica), White Liquid Applique.

CIC41 - Monkey Love

Are you ready to be "inspired!"  Take a look at these delectably delightful cupcakes brought to you by Snowy for this weeks Cupcake Inspiration Challenge over on Hope Stamps Eternal.  I just love the wonderful color these cupcakes have so I pulled my inspiration from the colors and the lines in the frosting/cupcake wrappers.

I wanted to use another of the cute $1 stamps from Inkadinkado that I found at JoAnn's.  Isn't this Monkey just adorable!  The paper I picked is from S.E.I.'s Mimosa line.  I think the colors in this pattern (Margarita Glitter) match the colors of the cupcake's icing pretty darn close.
I chose this TESC sketch as my starting point.
The image was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Prisma Colored Pencils.  I raised the monkey's head up with dimensional tape for some added interest.
At the bottom I added 3 small punched hearts and 3 gorgeous pink gem hearts (Annabelle Stamps).

I hope you'll visit Hope's blog and take a try at this fun cupcake challenge (Use of cupcake stamps not required) and be sure to leave some comment lovin to those who participate as well.

BC133 - Love Grows

Edited to add that this challenge also fits one on the Clearly Delightful blog
Hello and Happy Friday!  Can you believe we've already concluded the first week of a New Year.   I've been sick for most of it having come down with Bronchitis just shortly after Christmas and no chance for medication until the 4th since my doctor was out of town.  I'm slowly starting to feel better but am so tired from all the coughing and just in general not feeling so chipper.              This week the Blogger Challenge is a SKETCH challenge.  If you're like me these are always fun to do because they give you a jump start on your card creating.  I think this one is really fun and lends itself to some great ideas.
For this card I chose to do a Valentine theme.  I recently purchased several $1 stamps (Inkadinkado) at JoAnn's and they are just so cute I had to start using them.
Isn't this little bunny sweet.
Since I'm trying harder this year to use up my Designer Paper in a more efficient manner I picked up some of the scraps left over from this card and went with the same color scheme.  I colored my bunny with Prisma Color pencils and paper pieced the heart.
The sentiment is from the same set only I left off the two little hearts that were on both sides and just used the (Love Grows) portion.  I hope you like this one as much as I did making it.
Don't forget to check out all the other BC members blogs and see how they used this wonderful sketch.  If you would like to try this sketch yourself leave a link so I can check out your card.

Card Stock: Bermuda Bay, Melon Mambo, Barely Banana, Textured Green (Bazzill), Whisper White & DP by Basic Grey (Lemonade line).
Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black, Prisma Color pencils
Other: Lace Punch MS, Heart Brads (source unknown), Word Window Punch,
Heart Embossing Folder.

absc009 - Love Blooms

CLICK HERE TO SEE THIS WEEK 3CT Card:

Hello & "Good Day" to you.  It's time once again for this weeks Annabelle Sketch Challenge.  I really liked this sketch.  You're in for a treat today as I am showing a "sneak peek" of some new Annabelle Stamps and products.  These will be released on January 15th and you're going to love them.

The set I'm previewing is called, (Flowers With Love) and features several different flowers that are whimsical and fun along with 5 Sentiment stamps for various occasions. I chose the Large and Small Rose images to use on my card.

For my card I decided to use some patterned paper from Basic Grey (Eva) and based my colors off the paper.  My card base is Basic Black layered with Old Olive.  I stamped the Rose repeatedly on Watercolor Paper and watercolored the roses using Regal Rose, Rose Red and Old Olive ink pads and an Aqua Painter.  I stamped 3 seperate roses and cut them out and mounted them over the top of three of my roses.  I added a punched piece of Pretty In Pink, some ribbon by (Heidi Grace) and the designer paper.  Then I used the small rose image and the Love Blooms sentiment along with some new Sprinkles (Blackcurrant 3mm) and one Pink Heart (also new to the Annabelle line) and mounted these using circle Nestablities Dies.

So now be sure to stop by the Annabelle Blog and see what the other DT members have created with this sketch.  You never know there might be some more "sneak peeks" of the new stuff.  You can also participate in the Sketch Challenge by using the Mr. Linky link on the Annabelle Blog.  We'd love to see what you come up with.

3ct46 - I resolve...

Hello!  It's time once again for the 3CT Challenge.  This week's theme:      New Years Resolutions.  We were to create a card that reflects our NY Resolution.  At first I was going to put up a picture of a "blank" card since I generally do not make resolutions.  Instead I tend to make (goals) or (plans) which I hope I can follow through on throughout the year.                For this card I chose something that I really feel is an important part of my life.  I want to strive to be more steadfast and to have a pure heart so that I can show others that my faith is real.
I picked out my stamp and then the Designer Paper (Basic Grey - Lemonade) and then decided on using this weeks MojoMonday sketch.  I prettymuch stuck to the sketch as close as possible except my sentiment panel may be a little to far to the right.
Details:  Stamps: Verve Stamps: Psalm 51:10
Butterfly Image (Inkadinkado - Best Friends)
Card Stock: Bermuda Bay, Melon Mambo, Basic Black, Barely Banana and Whisper White
Designer Paper - Basic Grey
Other: Punch - MS Lattice Arch, 3mm Blackcurrant Sprinkles (Annabelle Stamps), Nestabilitie Dies, Distressing Tool and foam mounting tape.

Be sure to drop in on Kerry's Blog and the other DT members blogs to see what they have created for this challenge.  We'd love to have you play along.

CIC40 - Let's Party

Hello friends!  Here is my very 1st card of this New Year and I'm happy to say it's for the Hope Stamps Eternal Cupcake Inspiration Challenge (here by known as CIC).  Aren't these cupcakes pretty?  They come to you from Creative Cupcakes.  Who wouldn't be inspired by these lovely confections.

My inspiration came from the colors, the presents, confetti and the party feel of these cupcakes.

I had started out to use some patterned designer paper that I thought would go perfectly with the cupcakes but plans went awry and after several attempts I decided to go a different route with my card.

Instead I chose to use the Birthday Script Embossing Folder.  My card is based on the Mojo Monday 117 sketch from last week only I made a long card & used my presents in place of ribbon.

The stamp set I used is from Inkadinkado (BirthdayFun-97716).
Other details:  Inks: Regal Rose, Tempting Turquoise, So Saffron, and Basic Black.
Card Stock:  Regal Rose, Rose Red, Tempting Turquoise, So Saffron and Whisper White.
Accessories: Scallop Punch (SU) Paper Piercing Tool, Glitter (Art Institute) Brads (Pink Hedgehog Paper Crafts, Foam Mounting tape and Circle Nestabilitie Dies.

Don't forget to visit Hope's Blog and check out the CIC challenge.  Why not give it a try yourself.  You are not required to use Cupcake stamps and this year Rachel is doing something different with the challenges and a Prize might be involved so go check it out.

BC132 - Happy New Year 2010!

HAPPY NEW YEAR - 2010!!!

Hopefully you had a great New Year's Eve and didn't "party to hearty" so you're able to enjoy the start of a new decade.

For today's Blogger Challenge the theme is of course New Years or Celebrations.  Since I did a celebration card for the 3CT (see post below) I decided to go with a New Years theme for this card.

My biggest problems is that I don't own any New Years themed stamps.  I did have this sentiment stamp from SU and then paired it up with a Confetti stamp out of a Birthday set by Inkadinkado.

I chose to use some old SU Designer paper that I still have hanging around in my paper drawers and based my colors off of the paper.  I "goofed" a little in that my background piece is Tempting Turquoise instead of Taken with Teal but it worked out okay.

So the basics are:  Stamps: SU and Inkadinkado
Card Stock: SU - Tempting Turquoise, Taken with Teal, Pretty in Pink and Regal Rose. Designer Paper - Retired SU- (Loves Me)
Ink: Regal Rose, Chocolate Chip
Ribbon Originals - Retired-(Flirty)
Other:  Nestabilitie Rectangle Dies, Blossom Sprinkles(Annabelle Stamps),
Large Star Punch (SU), Small Star Punch (source unknown) and Cotton Candy Pink Glitter (Art Institute).

Looking forward to sharing with you in the coming New Year.  -  Thanks again for visiting my blog this past year.
