Happy Friday & Congratulations to William and Catherine!
Did you watch the wedding. Call me Crazy (I know I'm calling myself the same) but I actually stayed up ALL NIGHT to watch every detail live as it unfolded. I went to bed at 6:00am PST and got back up at 7:15 to walk Coleen to school and then headed back to bed for a few hours before getting up again. Needless to say I'm a bit "rummy" this afternoon but it was a lovely wedding and it was history unfolding right before your eyes so I'm not sorry I stayed up to catch the Nuptials.
So today's BC Challenge is a Color Challenge:
Now you will see from my card I used different shades of Green and Blue (more subdued tones)but I kept the Rose color as close to the photo as possible.
My card was done using the current AnnaBelle Sketch:
The card details:
Stamps: Sentimental Bluebells and Backgrounds By Design 3 - AnnaBelle Stamps
Card Stock: Pear Pizzaz, Bashful Blue, Rose Red and Whisper White (also Papertrey Select for the floral panel as it works better for Copic coloring).
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Rose Red and Bashful Blue-SU
Copic Markers: G82, RV32, RV34
Other: Circle Nestabilitie Dies, Moroccan Screen Embossing folder, Rose Red Grosgrain ribbon, Blossom 6mm Sprinkles (AnnaBelle)

ReplyDeleteBeautiful card...I love that flower! And I'm jealous! I watch for about an hour and then had to head to work! I kept going on-line and watching the clips...but would love to have watched it all! I regret not taking the day off!
ReplyDeleteLike you Ida I sat through the complete Wedding......It really was a beautiful celebration!
ReplyDeleteYour card is beautiful perfect for our AnnaBelle sketch this month. Lovely colour choices too. Good luck!

ReplyDeleteI watched the wedding too :) I was tempted to go to see royal couple myself, I live in London, but with our little daughter it was a bit difficult, too crowdy. Beautiful wedding :)
This is such a sweet card...I love what you did with the colors and the rose ribbon just makes everything pop!!
ReplyDeleteGreat sketch and great card. You are nuts to stay up all night to watch the royal wedding. I hope you get some sleep now.

Hi Ida,
ReplyDeleteYour card is so pretty - I love the gorgeous colours you have used. I too stayed up and watched the wedding, although here in Australia it was on in the evening so not too late. I cried a couple of times as I have watched Prince William grow up over the years and it made me very sentimental. Also Kate looked just beautiful too!
Love this pretty card, Ida! Fantastic take on color challenge and sketch! :)
ReplyDeleteCongrats on staying up all night. I always wake up at 4:15 a.m. (on work days) so when I got up and turned on the TV, Kate was just leaving the hotel for the church. PERFECT timing.
ReplyDeleteYour card is wonderful and I have to say that I'm so impressed that you are STILL doing the blogger's challenge. Good for you!
this is so pretty ida-I really like the colors you used on your card-and your out of teh box netie technique looks awesome-I have a little trouble with that one-I couldnt stay up to watch the wedding-I caught stuff during the day on friday
ReplyDeleteBeautiful use of the sketch Ida. I caught glimpses of the wedding. Would have stayed up to watch it but had to take our son to the airport early.
ReplyDeleteThis is sooo pretty! I hope you were able to get some rest!
ReplyDeleteIda, this is lovely! This image works beautifully for the out of the box technique.
