Creepy Peekies #2

Happy Monday - Today I'll be sharing card #2 of the Creepy Peekies stamp set from Unity Stamps.

For this card I started with a base of Crumb Cake card stock that I layered with 2 pieces of patterned paper from the (Heebie Jeebies) paper pack. I then added a strip of double sided tape and layered some twine on top of it. - The focal image was stamped with Versa Fine Clair Nocturne ink on Very Vanilla cs and colored with pencils (Prisma Color) and blended with Gamsol.  I cut the image out with a Unity Die and layered it with another circle of Pecan Pie cs.  The same was done with the sentiment. A small fishtail die (MFT retired*) was used as well.  Some Gems (Crafty Meraki) were added along with a black spider (punch). Images and sentiment mounted with foam tape.  Also the eyes of the mummy have Wink of Stella on them to give them a bit of shimmer.

*Note the one gem looks (green) in the photo but it's just the way the light was reflecting on it.

Creepy Peekies #1

Hello.  So glad you stopped by.

Today I'm sharing the first in a series of cards that I made featuring the (Creepy Peekies) from the July 2026 KOM from Unity Stamps. Also sold as a Companion Kit (click on link) and it's on sale right now!

Isn't (Frankie) just the cutest! - So for this card I started with a base of Only Orange card stock *retired SU .  Then I stamped the Sanded Background stamp *retired SU with Hero Arts Unicorn Pigment ink.

Next I added a piece of the (Heebie Jeebies) patterned paper pack.
I added a spiderweb border and wrapped some fun spider ribbon around the panel as well. - What's fun is I've had that piece of ribbon in my stash for many years now & finally used it!
I added a fishtail tag (Unity) to the top as well.

The image was stamped on Basic White cs and colored with various Copic Markers - I'm still learning on how to use them.  I added some Black soot Distress Oxide ink around the edges and used a Postage Stamp Die (Unity) to cut it out.  This was mounted on a piece of Old Olive cs (same with the tag).  Some black punched photo corners were added along with some sequins (Picket Fence Studios) to complete the card.  It was then mounted with foam tape.

Since this is the first time using the Stamp, paper & ribbon this is being entered on the NBUS blog #89

Summerween - Yes it's apparently a real thing.

 Hello & Welcome.

With Summer rapidly zipping by I thought I'd better post this fun little card that I recently made celebrating Summerween. - Yes it's really a real thing.  See HERE for an explanation.

Unity Stamps came out with 4 adorable little Ghosts to help celebrate Summerween.  This card uses one of those images.

This one was called, (Daisy Boo-Ho).  So for this card I started out with a card base of Berry Burst card stock (SU). I paired it with the Unity paper pack, (Daisy Dreams) The pink dotted strip is also from the same paper pack.

The image was stamped on Basic White card stock with Versa Fine Clair Nocturne ink.  I colored it with Prisma Colored Pencils and blended with Gamsol. I added a circle of Pretty in Pink card stock splattered with Berry Burst ink.  I used an old retired SU punch for the daisy flower and added some yellow enamel dots. Circle dies are a mix of Unity and SU dies.

Thank you for stopping by and I hope this card has lifted your spirits.

Kindergarten Cards - 16 Years apart

Hi,  Today's post is a "Fun" one.  I'm sharing the card I made for Joelle's first day of Kindergarten.

The fun part is that I used this same image for her older sister, Jupiter (Coleen) first day of Kindergarten 16 Years ago!

The stamp set is an old one from MFT Stamps (no longer in business) called, Emma and her Backpack.

I hope you've enjoyed seeing these 2 similar but different cards.

Here's a side by side of the 2 sister's First day of Kindergarten 16 years apart:

Unity August Sketch Challenge

Hi, - Welcome to my blog.  Today I'm sharing a card that I'm entering in the August Sketch Challenge for Unity Stamp Company.

This was the sketch we were given.

Here is my card for this challenge:

For this card I used a stamp from the Unity 2025 August KOM, (Season of Soft & Spooky).  - The Companion Kit would be (Creep it Tweet).

I started with a base of (Granny Apple Green) cs.  Then layered a piece of Designer Paper from Unity (Heebie-Jeebies). The color of the background is a deep/dark purple but shows up on the screen here a more like black.

For my focal piece I started with a piece of Watercolor card stock that I painted using a water brush and several colors of  Distress ink (Spiced Marmalade, Dusty Concord, Mowed Lawn). To achieve the circular effect I laid a circle die down and the paper and then randomly painted the colors in around it.  After the paper dried I stamped the image with VersaFine Clair Nocturne ink. I cut it out using a Unity Scallop Rectangle Die.  Photo corners were added along with some sequins.

The sentiment is from the same set and was stamped with the same ink as the image on watercolor paper and then randomly painted with the same colors as the focal image.  Both were mounted with foam tape.

Added a touch of Wink of Stella to the eyes and beak.
