Welcome! - I finally had some time this week to stamp. Seems like this month has been a super busy one so it's always nice when I get a chance to make a card.
I'm sharing this for the current Fusion Challenge: Bee Kind
Here is the card I created for this challenge:
I loved the colors in the Inspiration photo and the big bee. So I decided to treat myself to a new stamp/die set. Don't you just love that big bee with the lovely roses on it's back.
The stamp/die set is from Sizzix and can be found HERE - I purchased mine at Hobby Lobby.
Details: Card Stock: Whisper White (I'm going to miss this when my supply runs out) Bermuda Bay and a retired piece of Barely Banana (SU) The designer paper was also purchased at HL. I loved the splatters and the water color look.
I stamped the Bee with Memento Tuxedo black ink, colored the bee with Prismacolor pencils and blended with Gamsol. - I added a clear glitter (Art Institute) and cut the bee and the roses out with the dies that came with the set. The roses were mounted on top of the original bee with foam tape. Then the entire bee was also popped up with the foam tape.
The sentiments were stamped with MTBlack ink on Barely Banana Card Stock and cut with the dies.
I added a piece of retired SU cream grosgrain ribbon and some gems (unknown source) to complete the card.
I hope you like my interpretation of the sketch and the inspiration photo.
I noticed the flowers on the these back immediately and I really like them it's a beautiful card. Have fun stamping
ReplyDeleteThat Bee is the bomb! Gorgeous designer paper on the bottom! Thanks so much for playing over at the Fusion Card Challenge.
ReplyDeleteThis is a great take on the Fusion challenge, Ida! I do love a bee with roses on its back and that DSP was a perfect choice! Thank you for sharing with everyone at NBUS! Hugs, Darnell
ReplyDeleteThis is really nice. I love the look of that designer paper.
ReplyDeleteLove this fun floral bee! Thanks so much for joining us at Fusion!
ReplyDeleteAhhh, love the bee made of roses! I'm continually seeing things I'd like to add to my collection, but at some point I have to cut back and use more of what I have, and so much of it hasn't even been used yet! The paper is beautiful, too. Lovely card, Ida!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card! The patterned paper is just gorgeous and all your elements work perfectly together. Thanks so much for joining us at Fusion.
ReplyDeleteWonderful interpretation, and what wonderful flowers on the bee's back! Usually the bee is on the flower, so I guess it's quite appropriate vice versa. I too love the colors
