Double D (Bee Happy Challenge) and NBUS #77

 Hello & Welcome.

Today I'm actually posting a card for a challenge:

Double D - Bee Happy Challenge  and since this is a brand new stamp set and also brand new Washi Tape I'm also going to post on NBUS #77

Here is the card I created:

For this card I went with a Black, White & Gold color scheme.
The stamp set is from Unity Stamps (Bee-Hold) UU stamp set.

I stamped the bee and sentiment with Memento Tuxedo black ink and colored the bee with a Gold Metallic Pencil and a light Yellow pencil.  Added some Wink of Stella to both the wings and the gold portion of the bee.  Added transparent white glitter to the eyes.
The back ground is a piece of white card stock splattered with Distress Mica Spray and layered with a piece of SU designer paper that I ran through with an embossing folder (also from SU).  I added a strip of bee Washi Tape (Paper Studio) and some gold dots (Paper Studio).  I edged the bee with Going Gray ink and mounted with foam tape.  Dies from Unity Stamps were also used.

Hope you enjoy it.

  4. Ha! Unity has some of the funniest critters! I love that Washi tape, too, and how you incorporated the gold into your design. It makes the prettiest honeycomb! I'm glad you took time to play along with us at Double D! Now I'm off to check out your turkeys...
