Winners of my GIU Week and a Card

Hello & Welcome

Today's post is the announcement of the Winners from my GIU, (Growing In Unity) week. - Before I get to the names of the winners I want to say a HUGE, Thank You to everyone who left such wonderful comments on my cards last week.

Now without further ado the winners are: Kelly Kramer Sikes and Kim Jones.  Congratulations ladies!

Since I didn't just want to post the winners I'm including a card.  It was an extra one I made for my Day 3 Post which featured these 2 cards:

I made another card because I wasn't sure that these 2 card showed enough of a difference in styles. - In the end I posted them anyway but you should see the other card I made so it's a (Bonus) card just for today.

This one used the Mushroom again from the (July 2025 KOM - Feelin' Fall the Things).  Again it was colored with pencils and blended with Gamsol.  I used the same paper pack, (Spore the Love) but chose the red dotted piece so that it would have a more, Love/Valentine/Anniversary feeling to it.  Added Very Vanilla card stock, Crumb Cake - Which was ran through an large dot embossing folder but turned over so that it was, (debossed) instead.  Added a couple of hearts made from dies and punches.  The Red heart has Wink of Stella on it.  Added some tiny gold gems to the center of the flowers and some cream colored enamel dots to complete the card.

Have a great week and Happy Crafting!

On This Day

I married my best friend! - Today is our 19th Anniversary.
No really big plans but we'll head out to dinner.

I usually "buy" him a card as it's hard to create guy type Anniversary cards and he doesn't seem to mind if I make it or buy it. Today however I whipped this one up for him.
He recently begin playing Guitar again so I thought this would make a good Anniversary card for him.

There are a couple of other pics of us on my personal blog. Link is on my sidebar if you care to take a peek at how young we were way back then.

Stamps are from A.Muse Studio
Card Stock - SU (Crumb Cake, Baja Breeze, Whisper White
Ink - SU Pacific Point
DP - Bella Blvd.
Brads: Pink Hedgehog
Chain Punch - EK Success.

One For the Money...Two for the Show

Yep it's a "Two-fer" Challenge Card today.
First up it's the Annabelle Challenge - Say it with Brown and Blue
Next we have the Blogger Challenge 171 - Anniversary

Due to time constraints I sometimes find now that I have to combine challenges.  Since it's already Friday in Australia and now back East in the US you are viewing my card for both these challenges.

For this card I used 2 Annabelle Stamp sets: Ballerina Rose (Flowers) and Flowers With Love (Sentiment).
For my Designer Paper I picked out a retired SU pattern, Parisian Breeze.  This showcases, Chocolate Chip, Baja Breeze and Kraft (aka Crumb Cake now).
The flowers were stamped with Chocolate Chip ink and I added just a hint of Glitter (Nirvana - Art Institute) to the centers.  I also added some felt flowers in Baja Breeze/Chocolate Chip with brads from Pinkhedge Hog Crafts.
I use the SU Scallop Punch and added some Chocolate Sprinkles (Annabelle Stamps).
The ribbon is a retired SU Grosgrain-Taupe which matches the Crumb Cake pretty doggone close.  It looks darker in the picture, not sure why but I had a really hard time trying to get this card to photograph right.

So now be sure to stop by the Annabelle Blog or visit the DT members blogs by clicking on their names on my sidebar.
You can also visit the BC Members blog the same way.
I'm sure they'd all love for you to stop by for a visit.

My Soulmate - Happy Anniversary

April 18, 1992 - Wow 17 years have gone by already and what a "ride" it's been.  There have been "ups and downs" over the years but I am happy to report that this wonderful man is still my best friend, my soulmate, my endless love!!!                                                                                               We both look so young here (and so skinny!)  Looking forward to many more years together.
