Welcome! - More stamping fun this week.
Joining in on the current Paper Players sketch challenge #542 and NBUS#26
Here is the card I created for this challenge.
The stamp set is new to me and the first time using it. It's SU, Friendly Flamingo set. Only available through June since it's in the Mini catalog but not the current catalog. I also used the Flamingo Dies that go with the set. - If you want them be sure to purchase before the end of June.
Also I used 2 new Dies from a set of leaf dies I bought off Amazon previous used one other from the set on this card.
The designer paper is also new. Purchased from Scrapbook.com
Card Stock: Retired SU - Cameo Coral for card base.
Granny Apple Green, Crushed Curry, Basic Black and *Whisper White (now retired)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, SU Calypso Coral.
Other: Stickles for the flamingo's eye and the center of the little flower.
Foam mounting tape.
I'm not sure how close this follows the sketch but this card took on a life of it's own and I think it meets the requirements of the sketch since I used the flamingo/die leaves as my shaped elements.
Very nice. I would say you nailed it with this one. Love that flamingo
ReplyDeleteI think it follows the sketch as it's "any shape" and the flamingo is definitely a shape lol! I love those black palm frond die cuts behind the flamingo; they really make the pink pop! Great tropical card! Thanks for sharing at The Paper Players!
ReplyDeleteIda I think your card is the perfect interpretation of our sketch! Your flamingo is most definitely pretty in pink and I love that DSP and the way the black leaves pick up elements of its design. The perfect sentiment too! So lovely to see you in the gallery - thanks for playing with us over at The Paper Players this week!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE your take on the sketch, Ida! I think it is perfect! I love the flamingo, and this paper is absolutely fabulous! Thank you for sharing with The Paper Players this week!
