Happy Monday!
Joining in today for Freshly Made Sketches#488 and NBUS#27
Here is the sketch:
I debated about posting my card since it's a little loose of an interpretation of the sketch but then I though why not...so without further ado here it is:
For this card I used a brand new die set from Momenta that I purchased at Hobby Lobby. It also featured an embossing folder which I used as well on this card.
The sentiment is also new: It's from Stampin'Up! (Through it Together) set.
Card Base: Mossy Meadow, Embossed Layer, Old Olive, Sentiment stamped on Whisper White with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
Cheetah was cut out with a piece of ColorCore Cardstock from Core'dinations which I've had for a very long time. One side had a chocolate color and then the other was a different color. When you sand it the other color shows through. I loved how this really made the cheetah die pop. The die leaves were cut using Mossy Meadow and More Mustard* (retired) card stock.
The DP is from the Safari Chic Matstack (DCWV)
I spritz the card base & embossed layer with Antique Bronze Distress Spray (Tim Holtz)
I had a lot of fun with this card.
wow
ReplyDeleteI love the background you created for that cheetah - the embossing is fabulous and the pop of color from the paper and the die cuts is a great look. Thank you for playing along with us at Freshly Made Sketches.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you posted this. It's great and I can certainly see how it follows the sketch.
ReplyDeleteNice! And I personally think it's a perfection interpretation of the sketch, very visible in my humble opinion - lol. As for that cheetah, the sanding definitely allows him to strut his stuff a little bolder
ReplyDeleteWow! I'm glad you shared it because it's totally amazing! I love every bit of it -- the theme, the colors, the Core'dinations. I still have reams of Core'dinations which I'm apparently hoarding.
ReplyDeleteI think it's a great take on the sketch with the addition of that sleek leopard, Ida! The leaves, patterns, and colors are amazing, as is the texture! Thank you for sharing with everyone at NBUS! Hugs, Darnell
