Today's card is being entered for Art Nudge #525A and Freshly Made Sketches #686
Greetings! - Guess what? - It's another Monster Mayhem card!
This one I'm entering for FMS#684 *on a fun note if you want to skip all the details you can read about my stamping mishaps at the end. - I promise you will laugh.
Here is my card:
So I started off by stamping the Monster with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Crumb Cake (Kraft) card stock. Next I made a mask of him and place it over the image white I blended white ink over the cloud stencil to create clouds. My white pad is not the greatest so you don't see the white that well. I need to find a different white pad. Then I colored the eyes with a white pencil and added highlights to the monster's hair and horns with a Copper metallic pencil.
Next up I spritzed the image with Brushed Pewter Mica Spray. Cut out with rectangle dies and mounted it on a piece of Basic Black cs that I distressed. Wrapped some twine around the 2 corners and set it aside.
Next up I stamped a piece of Crumb Cake cs with Memento Black ink and a stamp from Unity Stamps (Squared Impressions) stamp set, tore the edge and distressed it with my finger and also added the same spritzing of mica spray to it. Then I added a strip of white card stock cut with a punch from EK Success . I glued that down to a piece of Copper metallic card stock and layered it onto the black card base. I stamped the sentiment on the kraft card stock and mounted it with foam tape. The main image was also mounted with foam tape.
This really sparkles in real life, I tried to get a picture to show it but it looks even better than the picture.
It get's better...so today while I'm stamping the background panel I stamped off the first image and then stamped the 2nd one which had barely any ink on it. I'm thinking to myself that maybe I didn't get enough ink on it so I stamped it down a couple of times on the pad and then realized I'm not stamping on my ink pad. I was stamping on top of my cell phone! Boy did I feel silly. Thankfully I was able to clean the ink off and discovered that my stamping pad was on my right hand side and not my left where my cell phone was.
Does anything like this ever happen to you while you are stamping?
That's it for my first set of Monster Mayhem cards. - My, She Monsters will hopefully be here Monday so be prepared for more monster mania! - Thanks for stopping by.

Here is what I created for these challenges:
and below is the Color combo from the throwdown.
This is what I created for these 2 challenges. - I wanted to try and do a Christmas card with this color combo - It seems strange for Christmas but it actually works.

Welcome. I hope you are having a great start to your week.
Today I'm sharing a card for FMS609
My card follows the sketch for the most part. I had an idea in mind and those banners were just hanging me up as I didn't want them to cover my image panel. So hopefully this still meets the challenge.
I'm going to use the holly leaves as my banners and yes I know there are 3 instead of 2 but it just looked better with three leaves.
Details: Card Base, Very Vanilla. Covered with a piece of SU Designer Paper (retired). The strip is the reverse side of the paper.
Stamps used: Tim Holtz Mixed Media purchased at JoAnn's a couple of years ago. I embossed the sentiment with Bold Black embossing powder.
Mounted the sentiment on a rectangle die of Very Vanilla and layered with the Scalloped die of Cherry Cobbler.
Cut out some Holly Leaves and Berries in Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive and Garden Green. Sentiment and Berries were mounted with foam tape.
Used a punch (EK Success?) and then a strip of Cherry Cobbler to mimic the pierced border at the bottom of the sketch.
That's is. Pretty CAS and one more card in my very small stash of Christmas cards. So many more to go!

Here is the sketch:
and the Inspiration Board, (Which there was also a sketch there - that I did not use)
I guess for my card I was mainly inspired by Pumpkins!
Plus I had already decided on the sketch from FMS so hopefully this will be okay to post for both challenges.

Below is the card that I made for FMS#602
For this card I used a stamp set that I got last year, Hocus Pocus from Photo play. You can see a couple of the cards I made here and here and here. (You can check out the links for extra inspiration using that set if you want.)
Card Base: Basic Black, next layer, Only Orange (retired SU) that I stamped the little star image from the set with Only Orange ink.
I added a piece of plaid designer paper (DCWV - Spooky Time) and a piece of purple card stock to the left side. Image was colored with pencils. Added some punched bats from the set and some purple sequins to complete the card.
This weeks color choices were:
Here is the card I made for this challenge. - It uses the same sketch as the card above.
I stamped some of the leaves (retired SU set, Autumn Leaf Prints) and then water colored them using retired SU watercolor pencils and water brush. After it dried I used a different leaf stamp from the same set and Versamark ink and then embossed with Detail Gold embossing powder. I also used the SU Itty Bitty Background set (retired SU) and some Real Red and Only Orange ink to add some splatters. The sentiment is from, Stamp Rose. To finish the card I added some orange baker's twine.
That's it for these two challenges. I hope you have enjoyed your visit.
