BC200 - Emboss Me

Happy Friday! - So are you ready for the BC Challenge. This week it's: Embossing. This covers a wide range from Dry Embossing, Wet Embossing and even use of Embossing Folders.

My card today cover 2 challenges: The Cupcake Inspiration Challenge and the BC Challenge.

I started out by recyling this old card that I made many years ago (and at the time thought it was a pretty "cool" card.

Now mind you this was done using a metal embossing stencil, a stylus and light box. Then I used an x-acto knife and cut portions out and added a sparkly background. As I said the card is alright but you want to see how I "upgraded" it for the current challenge:

Here's the Cupcake Inspiration Photo
Here is my card:

Materials used:
Very Vanilla, Old Olive Card Stock - SU
Lavender Textured Card stock - Bazzill
Chalk Inks: Lime Pastel, Wisteria, Yellow Citrus-Color Box
and hint of Bravo Burgundy Chalk (Stampin'Pastels-SU)
Embossing Die - Embossing Arts
Embossing Folder - SU
Pearls - Zva
Flower - Hero Arts
What do you think? - I myself think this really made the card so much better.
I used some Chalk Inks to color the embossed image, cut it down to size added different background card stock and used an embossing folder for some added texture.

I did a card for the AnnaBelle Challenge earlier which uses Wet Embossing (Embossing with Embossing Powder) so be sure to check it out as well.

Please chekc out what everyone has done with this challenge using the Mr. Linky feature.

  8. Personally, this is not a card. It is a peice of art, suitable for framing and I don't think I could let this one out of my sight. Oh to be a fly on your wall when you are creating!
