Howdy & Happy Valentine's Day!
Hope you've all showed those you love that you truly love them in some way today.
Now are you ready to go HOPPING!!! - It's "Release Day" for AnnaBelle Stamps. We have 2 sets this month to share but today we're just showing you the first set, Easter Hope.
Oh my gosh this set is GORGEOUS! You'll want to have this set and today we're giving you a chance to win it by following the blog hop. So be sure to check the links below after my cards for the blog hop order. Leave a comment on each blog and you'll be eligible to win this set.
Card 1: I wanted to create the look of a glorious sunrise or sunset depending on your point of view. So for this card I first started with an Acrylic Block and tapped it down on a YoYo Yellow ink pad then again on Summer Sun and finally Only Orange. Next I misted the block with lots of water and pressed it down on a piece of card stock. After lifting the stamp off the card stock I quickly spread the wet ink with my fingers to give it a watercolored look. Once it was dry I stamped the Cross/Sun image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and cut it out with a Circle Nestabilitie Die then mounted it onto another circle die of Basic Black Card stock.
I masked off the word (The) on the sentiment and just stamped the Light of the World on a Label Die and sponged on some Only Orange ink. The DP is unknown as it came in a bunch of papers from a friend but I liked the bright colors. The punch is new from EK Success. I also used Sprinkles (Pineapple) from AnnaBelle, Black Grosgrain ribbon from SU and Card Stock: Summer Sun and Tangerine Tango-SU.
Card 2 - This one is very Spring like and I just had to use the large Tulip image in the set. For this card I used last weeks Mojo Monday sketch
as my starting point. I'm a bit "bummed" that I wasn't able to enter it into the contest but I had to wait until today's release to show my card. Oh well maybe next month.
For this card I used my Prisma Colored Pencils to color the tulip image. Still not sure about using the Copics and getting proper shading etc...but I like the way the pencils turned out. I tried to match the colors to the tulips on the DP that I used. I've had the pattern for years and finally found a good way to use it.
Colors: Real Red, Old Olive, Whisper White
