Fusion Color Palette - Autumn Leaves

Welcome! - It's been a bit (again) since I've stamped.  Have been dealing with some family issues and a nasty cold which has drained me of much energy. - I did finally get this card finished that I started for the current Fusion challenge.

Fall or Autumn is one of my favorite seasons.  I love the leaves as they change color.  - Speaking of color....just look at all the beautiful colors in the inspiration photo and sketch.

I decided to use both the sketch and the colors for my card.

So many different stamp sets were used to make this card come together.  -  Plus I'm not totally sure on the colors of card stock I used but I'm going to give it my best shot.
I'm thinking the base layer is Cajun Craze  The yellow layer is a retired SU color, Barely Banana.  The wood grain stamped layer is Pumpkin Pie and the Blue Leaf border is Coastal Cabana or Bermuda bay. - Hey I said I wasn't totally sure but they looked as close to the colors as I could find.

Stamps used:  SU - Woodgrain background, Petite Patterns*(retired),Give Thanks (bucket of Leaves) also *, Hero Arts - Hero Greetings (tiny Hello) and Inkadinkado - Autumn sentiment.  This was part of a Halloween mini set purchased at JoAnn's several years ago.

Ink used: Memento Tuxedo Black, Cajun Craze, So Saffron
Other: Stylish Dies & Nestabilitie Circle die - Colored Pencils, Leaf border punch (EK Success).

I think it turned out pretty cute for mixing so many different stamps sets to create one card. - I hope you enjoy it too.

Paper Players Challenge #566 - Give Thanks

Welcome! - Today's card is for the Paper Players Theme Challenge #566 - Give Thanks

Below is my card for the challenge.  I made a CAS card for this challenge which is something I rarely do as I find them a bit out of my comfort zone.  I always keep thinking they need something more.

This one came together very quickly since most of the items were already laying on my desk having been discarded from other card projects and they hadn't yet made it into the (future use box).

Card Base: Mossy Meadow, Next Layer Old Olive which I embossed with a leaf embossing folder (Paper Studio) but used the debossed side.  I had a scrap of plaid designer paper used from a Christmas card on my desk so I added that strip and then I had a punched leaf border (EK Success) out of More Mustard*retired SU that I then stamped with Versamark ink using a *retired SU background stamp (Sanded).  I layered that over the plaid piece.  Finally I had a sentiment stamp from the Autumn Blessing stamp set that I purchased with a magazine at JoAnns already stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  I used rectangle dies (Spellbinders) to cut it out and mounted in onto another piece of Mossy Meadow then used foam tape to raise it up.  Voila, all done.

So do you think it could have used anything else? I debated about adding some gems or sequins but in the end felt it looked just fine without them.

Cattitude Monday - Cat Scratch Fever

It's Monday and time for another installment of, Cattitude Monday.

First I wanted to share the bloody mess that is on my left ankle right now. - Last night I went in to our bathroom to get a drink and since I had light coming from the television I didn't bother to turn the lights on.

Suddenly I heard this hideous meowing and felt the slashing (dramatic huh) of my ankle. I saw furry flashes and 2 very unhappy cats. I'm not entirely sure what happened but somehow Snickers and Callie-Jo met each other in the dark and one of them managed to slice and dice my heel up pretty good. I'm always thankful for Benadryl since I'm allergic to cats (I know then I shouldn't have them) but I just couldn't live without my furry friends and allergy shots help tremendously. Anyway I'm keep a close eye on it as I don't want any infections. I couldn't resist adding Ted Nugent's song, "Cat Scratch Fever" to this weeks blog entry.

As promised last week I actually created a card for Cattitude Monday. The stamp is a new unmounted stamp (Third Coast Rubber - Titled: Miss Daisy) but it reminds me of our cat, Callie-Jo who is off course very playful since she's still a kitten. I tried to color the image to look Siamese but didn't include the much darker colors that our kitty has on her face.

The image was colored with Prisma Colored Pencils and blended with Gamsol. I stamped an extra image and cut out the top flower to layer over my main image. I used my new rectangle Nestabilities dies for the image and background. I added some So Saffron photo corners and More Mustard Brads.

The sentiment is by Autumn Leaves.

Card Stock: So Saffron, Blue textured by Chatterbox, Designer Paper, Sunny Pinwheels (Chatterbox - Scrapbook Walls), Whisper White

Ink: Palette Noir Black, Really Rust

Other: Frosted Lace Stickles, More Mustard Brads, Circle Punch, Coluzzle, Nestability Dies, Paper Piercing tool, Foam mounting tape.
